YOU’VE found me. Congratulations and welcome, well done. This is my column, or at least it’s my notes. As a stack of newsprint, some might call it a pillar of democracy, but I won’t. I’ll call it a prop, a placeholder for a website I haven’t yet done.

Now that you’re here, let me tell you a few things: at work, I’m the Northern Correspondent with The Australian newspaper, this lucky country’s most serious rag. Elsewhere I’m a reader, a thinker and, I’m told, not a bad cook.

Have I written about you or taken your picture lately? If so then try searching my page on The Australian’s website, or the Newspix photo library.

Still no luck? Feel free to drop me a line.

I’m based in Darwin. You can reach me via the office switch (+61 2 9288 3000). I’m also on Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and LinkedIn from time to time.

Best of luck and thanks for calling. I hope to see you again soon.
